Donation Refund Policy

Thank you for supporting Hope 4 Kenya. We treat every gift with care and apply it to our mission. This policy explains how refunds and donation issues are handled.

General Policy

All donations to Hope 4 Kenya are considered final. Because gifts are typically deployed quickly into active programs in Kenya, we generally do not issue refunds. We will, however, consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis in the following situations:

  • An accidental duplicate transaction.
  • An incorrect amount entered (typo).
  • An unauthorized or fraudulent charge.
  • A documented error on our part.

How to Request a Refund

Email info@hope4kenya.com within 15 days of the donation with:

  • Donor name and email used at the time of giving.
  • Date and amount of the donation.
  • Reason for the refund request.

Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 7–14 business days. Any payment-processor fees may not be recoverable.

Recurring Donations

You may cancel a recurring donation at any time by emailing info@hope4kenya.com or through your PayPal/Venmo account. Cancellation stops future charges but does not refund prior gifts unless one of the conditions above applies.

Tax Receipts

Hope 4 Kenya is a US 501(c)(3) nonprofit (501(c)(3) Nonprofit). Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by US law. Receipts are sent by email at the time of the donation. If a refund is issued, the corresponding tax receipt is voided.
